Mia (also known as Mäxchen or Liar's Dice) is a bluffing game with two hidden dice – it's all in your head, no luck needed to read the rules.
Whoever's turn it is rolls face-down and is the only one who sees their own result. Only the roller knows the true roll – everyone else has to trust the call or challenge it.
After the hidden roll, you pick a call from a fixed ranking of dice combinations. The call must be at least as high as your actual roll – but you're also allowed to bluff higher. The highest possible call is called Mia (or Meier).
The next player decides: Believe – then they roll hidden themselves and must beat the previous call with their own. Or doubt it – then the previously hidden roll is revealed. If the call was a lie (lower than the real roll), the caller loses a life; if it was true, the doubter loses a life.
Every player starts with 5 lives (shown as hearts). Once all lives are lost, a player is out. The game ends as soon as only one player remains – they win the round.
